Permits must be obtained before fishing; they are not available bankside. A valid Environmental Agency Licence must be shown prior to purchasing any Permit. They are not transferable and must be produced when asked for by any member of the Association. Anglers without a Permit or Licence will be asked to leave the Fishery.

A copy of the Fishery Rules is handed out with each permit.

Youth* is defined as being a secondary school pupil at the time of the Permit being issued. Primary school children go free.

 

It is the responsibility of all anglers to be familiar with the Rules and Regulations of the Association before they begin fishing.

The use of fly fishing, spin or permitted baits depends on individual fishery rules and restrictions. Please refer to Club handbook. N.B. NO fishing after 17 October.

Comments

1. Any salmon caught before the 16 June must be returned with minimum injury and minimum delay.
2. Fly refers to artificial fly of less than 5g in weight
3. Permitted baits include worm and prawn. Banned baits include maggots, pupae or non-aquatic larvae and groundbaiting.
