Aberystwyth Angling Association offers both the expert and novice game fisher exciting sport in some of the most unspoilt and scenic countryside in Wales.
Fish for native brown trout on one of our nine lakes, using fly, spinner or worm.
Each lake has individual rules so please check out the lakes page and the lake you want to fish.
The coch-y-bonddu season is particularly popular as the lakes can literally 'boil' with fish.
We offer individual permits, husband and wife as well as youth* and concessionary.
A valid Environment Agency Licence must be shown prior to purchasing any Permit and obtaining local/concessionary rates.
Permits must be obtained before fishing; they are not available bankside.
A copy of the Fishery Rules is handed out with each permit and are downloadable here.
They are not transferable and must be produced when asked for by any member of the Association.
Anglers without a Permit or Licence will be asked to leave the Fishery.
A river only permit is unfortunately no longer available.
Permits are available through the Wye and Usk fishing passport scheme.
